Your problem is your internet connection between yourself and d2jsp. "no problems elsewhere" -- you are on other games that use secure websockets through Cloudflare? Do tell.

Disconnects are a network issue not related to any problems with d2jsp or the server itself unless everyone disconnects.

See I don't understand why you have to be such a passive aggressive dick, dude.
I'm asking the questions to you because I'm assuming you know about the stuff, it's your livelihood.
I'm not asking hoping you don't have an answer so I can ridicule you or some 5th grade bullshit

I'm not having problems elsewhere meaning I have not played any other game where I've disconnected since I've gotten this ISP. I'm probably not as familiar with the engine/coding/socketing/whatever else that has to do with the game you built as yourself.

If you're interested in computers, go read a book or take a course at your local college. It's not my responsibility to educate you on all the ins and outs of networking. You're comparing apples to oranges out of your own ignorance, and I'm telling you what to expect if it's actually a problem with d2jsp or the server, but you're willfully ignoring it and instead flaming.

I am not a computer expert. Not by any means
Nor am I a programmer guru.

However, I like to think of myself as being logical

When something changes my playing capability, I look at what has recently occurred.

1 -- I have not changed my provider

2 - I have not changed my computer

3 - I have not altered/changed any passwords or anything similar

4 - I have not changed my search engine

5 - I have been getting more disconnects now than I ever had before the updates.

Sounds logical to me that the disconnect issue may not be located at my end of the food chain

So one would logically ask "what changed?" I have already answered this; all sockets go through Cloudflare now (since the first rewrite.)

If you used logic, you would also be able to correlate that if the LS server is disconnecting people, it would do it to everyone (network fault). This is the fourth time now that I've said this in the last 10 replies to this topic. I will not be replying any further to disconnect related posts.

Also you should be aware that at any given moment in time, ANY number of components could be changing at datacenters worldwide, whether through failures, outages, cable cuts, DDoS/DoS attacks, congestion, or many other reasons that can make your connection suddenly no longer be perfect to a given target destination. You don't have a single direct line and connection from you to d2jsp, it travels through many (often dozens) of routers and datacenters before it reaches d2jsp. That is a lot of possible points of failure. That's how the internet "works". If you're interested in more, read up on it and learn more about it, because I'm not going to argue with you about something you do not understand or know anything about.

No, there have been no everyone disconnects short of when I've reset the server or when it crashed the few times it did last week. It's pretty obvious.

Disconnects are a network issue not related to any problems with d2jsp or the server itself unless everyonedisconnects.

The bolded part should read "Disconnects are a client side issue"

He's not exactly saying it's your computer or provider but a compatibility issue with whatever software you're using to play the game. If you haven't done an update on your browser since you first installed it, there are likely issues. I had a few issues with the last version, updated my Chrome and haven't disconnected since.

Just do what you can to tweak the software you're using.

Ty that's a good explanation.
My chrome shows as up to date though. Are there other things I should look into educating myself on that I could tweak? I'm trying to lessen my workload for the upcoming semester.

Every single person in my last climb got d/c at least once, which wasnt hapening not so long ago

When a lot of people starts to come up with some d/c problem it might be time to look into it

During first beta I got a couple d/c. I use chrome and so I updated, which it wasn’t up to date at that time, cleaned all junk out of browser and since then no d/c’s. I did lag out last climb and couldn’t rejoin but was also my fault since I never restart my net. Restarted everything and fine since. In all the years playing Ls for me it’s always been a browser issue or me needing to restart something.

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169466-Can-I-use-Cloudflare-with-WebSockets-

Read the Technical Note listed on that URL, and stop posting about disconnects unless everyone disconnects. We have two choices, 1) I will issue suspensions to those that keep posting about it, or 2) I'll stop reading all the posts here. Because all you're doing is wasting my time and energy by reading this nonsense instead of you actually reading what I've told you multiple times.

Are lvl 55 items now super hard to find or is there a bug that is not letting them drop at all?
