Nah that doesn't matter really, you just keep attacking the immune monster forever until it stops being immune
If you don't do anything it might remove the immune faster than usual, but it can still become immune after 2 hits and get healed
I did go to town a few times because I ran out of 10k mana
That has happened many times, but not like that, it usually takes dmg quite often, but then i heal it for 3000 and have to start all over again
This guy didn't take any dmg for about 15-20 k mana spent on it while towning a few times inbetween
The worst I've had so far was at least 3 times better, already tried it with this version and normal immune monsters, they take dmg after 5-10 hits almost always, you don't have to stop attacking them
150 - 200 hits (with towning) seem ridiculous since the worst I've had for almost 2 years is I guess 30 - 50
If it's bugged somehow I think it's gonna be bugged for every element immune
E: And yes I had to kill it with a lvl 35 0 ee stick , it took like 10 minutes
