It has nothing to do with sc needing the gear.. It has to do with peeking the interest of as many d2jsp members as possible. Without the merger sure you can still make fg off beta, but it will eventually die out and then will basically be sc #2. If it's a reoccurring event like most other games do it would recreate a way to profit and upgrade on the other cores if you so wish. Eventually if the gear stays on beta it will become too easy and less desirable. The most desirable part about beta is the difficulty imo. You lose that after a few resets on beta if it even takes that long.

Hey Paul, have you given any consideration to a toggle for "Group On/Off" ?
I think this would be a very nice option for the game. I have a few good reasons, as I'm sure others do also.
I know that there is always the "Kick" function .... Speaking of, has this been tested be anybody?

I don't understand your question. Did you check the escape settings menu?

Edit: Kick was tested, works.

When you save settings like disable item compare/remove arrows why does this not save after you exit? Im pretty sure its the same on live but some settings seem to save but not others

the option settings
- hide maze arrows and whistle
- disable item compare

are not being saved on window closes
the sound settings are persistent, would assume the others would save too.

Under the current functions, Once you create a group, the only way to "close" it is to "Leave group"
I forget who presented the idea for a toggle to "close" a group once it is created.

Let's say I wanted to duo climb with somebody that isn't in my guild. I would have to ask others to leave or kick them.
Instead we could just "close" the group so other could not enter.
So the question is; Have you given this any consideration, or would this be to difficult to implement?

I love this actually. If you're willing with someone and a jerk walks in and throws stuff in the well, it ruins the whole gaming experience. Would be nice to close/open a group up to allow others in.
