Create 7 more HC character to be mule to hold your lower tier items and EES items for later use.

Having one(1) character isn't good... even in D2 and and other games when you can transfer usable items to them for later use.

I just started a few weeks ago, been giga casual and solo.

I can't emphasize how insanely helpful this was. I wish it linked me this when I made my first toon.

Ty! Actually one huge question I've been confused about!

Does adding a stat into an attribute have a different effect depending on when I put it?

Like Vitality for example. If I put 1 point into it at lvl 60, does it have the same end-result as-if I put that point in at earlier levels?

Sorry not sure if I'm wording this well, but all the stuff I read makes it sound like you get more putting it in early because of the bonus you get each level, but I'm confused on the specific meaning of that.

EDIT: A better way of wording it, would be: Can I "brick" my character by putting points into Vitality later-on instead of early? Because it would have barely any effect later-on?

1 vitality adds the same amount of hit points if you use it at lvl 1 or if you use it at lvl 81. So unlike some gamez, it is better here to use the stats immediately rather than save them up for later lvls.

Also, your needs change as you get better equipment. For example, you start out as a sword wielding rogue with horrible armor. Putting a few stats into vitality will give you that extra hit points and adding strength will make your sword do more damage (since its strength based)….now lets say later on you find/purchase a better ee dagger. Daggers use dexterity to increase their damage. Yes you can equip the dagger, and i personally dont recommend putting new stats into dexterity. So i would either continue with strngh based weapons and save the dexterity based ones for another character or do your master quest and see if next round you want to go with dexterity instead of strength. Maybe someone can explain this better if it is too confusing.

Edit most valued stats on an armor/weapon/charm
1. Enhanced Effect (we call it ee). Most important stat for weapons (unless you cast like magician/warlock), most important stst for armor (it increases your defense so makes enemy attacks not kill you in 1 shot) and charm (useless for attackers except heal charms if you decide to use these. Casters need ee charms)
2. Strength/dexterity. Useless in a weapon unless its a secondary stat WITH ee. Decent for armor as it makes your weapon stronger but makes your armor less defensive. Great for charms except for casters which need ee charms
3. Intelligence. Very useful on staves/daggers somewhat useful on other weapons for off casters (characters that are not magician/warlock but still use ee charms), same for armor (padded robe more valuable….other armors for the off casters) intelligence on a charm is not useful unless the charm also has ee. (Although i did recently see someone wanting intel charms to try out…..windering how successful his attacks are in the lvl 55-75 range)
4. Max life useless and very little value hnless you’re hardcore and need that tiny extra hp to keep you alive
5. Max mana only valuable if on an intel weapon or intel armor or ee charm….on its own its a useless stat
6. Ehh too many stats. Maybe ill go over the rest of them later.

Edit: went through 12 pages and disnt see any mention on what stats to look for so ill continue. If others wish to chip in feel free to do so.

Another small note:
Every 25 points into Vitality increases your Life Regen by +1. In case you stat Vitality to 70 or something, you may re-consider and go for 75 to get that +1 additional regen.
The same can be said when you stat Intelligence, but it's +1 Mana Regen.

Your equipped armor also gets a small boost to Physical Defense when you stat Vitality or Magical Defense when you stat Intelligence.
