No, I’m talking about solo. I can’t gain any dagger prof before I hit lvl 35 so the amount that I can gain from welling any low level items is pretty limited. There is a very narrow window where I can, but it requires me to have a well ready for when I hit lvl 35 and for it to not break instantly :rofl:

Anyway, I had a discussion with him here about prof: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84248031&f=74

Here's some highlights which may be of interest:

Useful information which should be taken into account:
1. You do not gain prof for hitting for 0, this includes the spider illusions and goocidics melee block.
2. Max prof per wave is 10 (+potential event modifier). This does not matter which prof is gained, for example gaining 5 sword and 5 focus heal prof will cause you to hit the cap.
3. You do not gain prof points until the mob level is at least 1 higher than your current level. Equal to your level does not yield prof.
4. If your goal is to get prof, do group climbs and spam multistrike/multicast. 1 hour of a group climb for a good clicker is about the same as 4 hours of solo'ing.
Not 100% sure about using items below your current level (i.e MQ'ing with a lvl 50 EE weapon/EE charm) as i've heard a few reports this is lower prof chance.

Results for 500 hits:
First 500: Club prof 11, mob level 12->17. Number of 0 hits ~15. Club prof changed from 5816 to 5918, so roughly 20%
Second 500: Club prof 11, mob level 17->22. Number of 0 hits ~3. Club prof changed from 5918 to 6018, so exactly 20%
From memory, casting prof chance is around 30-35%, healing prof chance ~60-70%


I dont recommend reading the topic, it gave me a headache reading rex's "logic"

This is iZZi my Bufcore character that is in its' 8th Master Quest (7 completed last season) = only 8 runs.

Ranks;
7 = Battleaxe = 28,000 prof points + 59/8000
6 = Spear = 21,000 prof points + 4973/7000
6 = Reg Heal = 21,000 prof points + 1093/7000
3 = Focus Heal = 6,000 prof points + 288/4000
2 = Club = 3,000 prof points + 485/3000
1 = Wild Heal = 1,000 prof points + 1116/2000

Total prof points 80,000 + 8004 = 88,004
Divided by 8 runs = 11,000.5 prof points per run

I use other item(s) with less prof points at lower levels, then switch when at level 8 or 10 to Battleaxe. Example: use a Club from level 1 to 10 then switch to Battleaxe.

Note: I will always well items at lower levels if I can to gain prof points, even with other weapons/cast charms.

It is a different perspective on obtaining prof points... MQ is nothing to me, so me gaining 11,000 prof points per solo run is way better than other solo'ers getting only 2,000 or 3,000 prof points per run... they basically have to do 4-5 solo runs to compete.

1-10 prof points per wave (Melee/Cast/Heal) unless there is an event like this one that has: +40% to Proficiency Cap Per Fight which is 1-14 prof points per wave.
