I've known about this thing that ""could"" be considered a bug/glitch for a while now. I haven't told anyone, but I'm guessing a lot of people already know about it. ( unless it's a new thing after the rewrite, I can't remember if it worked like that before, or unless it's supposed to be like that for some reason )

I haven't used it so far, because I couldn't bother, but I'm kinda planning on using it whenever I can or feel like it from now on.

If I have to rate it on a scale from 1 to 5 with 1 being you get 2 experience from jubilance instead of 1 and 5 being you get a guaranteed 300 ee item drop form a well, I'd rate it a 2.

Can some super high rank Nazi LS moderator decide that's somehow an exploit and ban me for doing it? And if so, will I at least get some sort of a warning beforehand?

Or am I allowed to do it, because it's not my fault that there are bugs in the game ( IF that's considered a bug ) and if someone has a problem with that they should fix the bug, not ban people for using it?

No one here can give you proper information, if you're worried pm both kevin and njaguar. IF the level of exploit was such that you were finding gg items all the time and what not I'm sure it could be a bannable offense but if it's something relatively quality of life related or saves you time / faster xp or something I'm sure it wouldn't be that dangerous.

We all feel paranoid in this game like we're doing something wrong because as soon as you log in it says no bots, macros etc but if you're playing legitimately like all of us do, there really shouldn't be a problem at all.

quite simple:

report in to Paul/Kevin or use any staff member to bring it to them, like Niclas

if you think it could be a bug/glitch don't do use it intentionally and you are safe. Using it might get you banned even if it is unintentionally

tl;dr: don't use it, report it

I didn't want to be the annoying guy who "outed" the bug.

Because I can't be the only one who knows about it. So why has no one else reported it so far? Maybe you don't consider it a possibility it's a bug or maybe very few people actually know about it.

The thing is, it's really not that big a deal at all, and I guess 50% of the people wouldn't care if they knew about it or not.

But it bugs me that someone else in my position could've been using it all this time, and I'm too paranoid to do it, because of all the things I've heard about LS before.

So I'll pm Kevin about it. If we're not allowed to do it AND we can get banned/punished for it, then it should get fixed asap, because I find it super annoying that you have to be scared you're doing something that's not working as intended in LS and get banned for it, even if it was a major exploit. That would be sort of the same as getting banned in POE for using winter orb, because it didn't work correctly and was too op.

And lastly, nowhere in the game is it specified that you can get banned for playing it in a way that it's not "supposed" to be played or doing things that are not "supposed" to work as they currently do. If you get a warning or a pm from someone who's authorized telling you to stop and you don't, then sure that's fine I guess.

Small edit I just remembered:

Didn't mirror maze also work incorrectly and switching to lower tier items, then back to normal classify as a bug as well? And it's been like that for I don't know, 5 - 10 years. So technically anyone who's ever done a mirror maze like that COULD theoretically get banned as well for using an exploit.

Some you want to brag about a bug that you found that could be considered an exploit.

But you don't want to tell anyone else except for bragging about "I have and you don't but it's a secret" just in case you can gain an advantage over others.

If you make it public, it will get fixed far faster then if you keep it private. Always works that way around here.
