The basic information that is more useful.
Strength or Dexterity adds % Enhanced Damage to "specific" weapons based on the Ratio and Type:
Ecample(s):
... +Strength adds more Enhanced damage to weapons like: Club, Sword, Axe, Warhammer, Longsword & Battleaxe.
... +Dexterity adds more Enhanced damage to weapons like, Dagger, Staff, Axe, Spear, Polearm & Battleaxe.
... ... Note: Ratios for weapon types are based on a % Chance to deal a critical strike (double damage) ... however, adding more points to the HIGHEST number in the ratio increases the Enhanced Damage effect with every action. Sword Ratio = 75 Str / 25 dex ratio for like 1% chance to deal Double Damage, whereas... the more strength per attack 100% of the time (successful hits) is more damaging than a 1% CHANCE for double the damage.
Inelligence: Caster / Healer benefits with more points... ONLY added points increase your mana pool, ITEMS with + Int do NOT add, it only adds to Damage, Magical Defense and Regeneration in town (Note: 25 Int = +1 Mana Regen ... Assumption, this is additive with +Int items like armor etc).
Vitality: Same as Int, however only for Phys defense, regen and Hit points.
Note: Vitality and Intelligence has a specific mechanic... something like +2 Life/Mana per Point (hard, not item related) per level, also, you gain +1 extra Life/mana point per level.
Example would be a level 1 Barbarian with +60 Vitality (without adding your 10 starting points) = a base start of 120 hit points (2x60 = 120), same with +5 Intelligence = +10 Mana Pool.
Increased points make a difference etc.
Hope this helps.
