sadly
were far different
God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?
Are you saying that humans are greater than God because we killed him? Are you saying that death is the ultimate victor?
How are humans that only live for 100 odd years greater than an almighty God, the creator of the Universe? Are you saying that humans were able to surprise God by killing Jesus? Are you saying he did not see it coming? I don't think you have even begun to grasp the concept of a God.
Psalm 14:1 - "For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good."
Only a fool says there is no God.
You see God's power in Genesis when He creates the world. You see God's power in Exodus chapters 7 - 11 with the 10 plagues on Egypt. You see God's power in Mark chapter 4:35-41 when Jesus calms the storm.
Jesus himself is our comfort. It is He whom you will find your rest.
Matthew 11:28-30 - 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
