Every part of my intellect says religion is likely a hoax, and given the vast nature of the cosmos I appeal to the ancient astronaut theory in which aliens were mistaken as God's. This passage was yet another riddle seemingly designed to keep the people in a state of dependence on a system where all power is taken from the individual entirely.

My recent comments in this topic were an exercise in empirical study in that I sat down, did some research and really thought my argument before presenting it. My goal is not to argue with any of you but rather try to unlock the potential of my own mind (enlightenment) which obviously is in a much different state than you and I don't claim to have the answer but what I will do until my death is question every piece of data of what I refer to as "the secrets of the universe" or other words things that cannot be known.

On the other hand I believe many of you (Cristians) to be so blind to faith that there is no argument I could make that would surpass your own assumption of the universe and furthermore many would then be in denial because accepting an agnostic argument would shatter the very foundations on which you base your life

I have little interest finding God, what I am after is unlocking the doors that are available to be in the physical world, and not the imagination where religion takes place

I digress but it's all part of the big picture for me

If you had no faith that something good would happen today, what would you do?

The foundation of what we believe is that Jesus rose from the dead. Can you disprove the resurrection from ever happening? Can you?

I've had this argument before. Do you think we're brainwashed in our belief?

Here's your definition:

Brainwash: To make someone believe something by repeatedly telling them that it is true and preventing any other information from reaching them.

I disagree that we are brainwashed and here is the reason: we are not only encouraged to ask questions but we are expected to ask questions and investigate the things we have been told. We go to Church every week and are asked to consider the things that we read and make up our own minds. We go to Bible Study every week and discuss the passage in a group. People do ask questions and there is debate even in our Bible Study meetings.

Do you honestly think that I read 2 Corinthians 12:10 and took that at face value? I tell you no, I did my own research on that very verse. You want to see some of the research that I have done?

Here is a list of what I have investigated personally:

https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73889562&f=119&p=525625079#p525625079
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=71850688&f=125&o=0#p483628339
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=67022928&f=125&o=0#p449254948
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=75028490&f=119&p=507734451#p507734451
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73889562&f=119&p=531333715#p531333715

If I were brainwashed then they wouldn't let me go out and do my research or ask questions. If I am then questioned then I would have no foundation to stand upon.

Whereas because I have done my research and am sure that The Bible is true then when I am questioned, I am able to give an answer and with confidence. I've seen the difference when I ask questions to people who haven't done their research and they are never able to answer any questions.

Paul himself says that we must always be ready to give an answer for the reason of the hope we have. This means we have had to think about why we believe what we believe and what answer we will give. I guarantee that if I ask any of the Christians in this forum that they will have an answer ready to give.

One day whether you like it or not you're going to have to make a decision. This decision is the biggest decision you will ever make in your entire life. Will you accept the gift of eternal life with Jesus?

If not then what are you chasing after that is worth more than an eternity in Heaven?

want to add a couple of things
there is no science that troubles scripture and thats weird.

and this is weird
The bible is a collection of 66 books written over a period of approximately 1400-1500 years in 3 different languages across 3 continents by over 40 different authors from every walk of life (from a kings throne to prison cell). Most of whom never knew each other and many of which died a horrible death rather than deny their faith. With no historical errors or contradictions, coming together in one single unified harmonious message.

The creation, fall and redemption
Gods universal love for all humanity
A common message of salvation is available to all who repent of their sins and commit to following God with all their heart, soul, strength and mind.

Ok you made many points so I'll try to summarize my reply with what is really my "way of life"

First and foremost I do not subscribe to any one theory, ideal or mindset. Rather I strive to "update" my understanding the same way a computer would apply a patch.

That being said, what information is available to our senses? Obviously sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Some may claim metaphysical / 6th sense but I for one have experienced only reality as spatial science predicts.

So here I am born year 1991 to a world already in motion for what is an unknown amount of time. Besides the basic parameters of physics: gravity, the elements and energy etc.; I have am certain of several things pertaining to our discussion:

1) Reality will continue to be reality regardless of what I believe. Reality is defined to extreme mathematical precision. Any event in reality is destiny, because cause and effect (and time) have already dictated this outcome and if the laws of physics are to change then that change is also destiny because physics has forced it to be and it cannot be any other way.

2) there is a manifestation of "good", for example love

3) there is a manifestation of "evil", for example torture

4) there is a manifestation of "neutral", for example sand

5) free will exists, I am choosing to write this message and any thought that would suggest this act is predefined is ridiculous

Solipsism is defined as the theory that the self (me) is the only thing certain to exist and can be known to exist via the five senses, this point is important because unless my senses have processed this information how can I be certain it is true?

So you see what I believe is irrelevant, what is important to me is living a pure life both physically and mentally which has forced me to be Vegan

How can I manifest myself as good if I kill and eat another creature so similar to me? How can I believe a religion that murders animals to please their God?

I hope this have some insight into my approach on theology

"How can I manifest myself as good if I kill and eat another creature so similar to me? How can I believe a religion that murders animals to please their God?"
(who says your good? regardless.)(you "believe" animals are similar to you?)(christians dont sacrifice animals)

"but I for one have experienced only reality as spatial science predicts."
(you have experienced sensory input)(did you look into simulation hypothesis?)

alot of ideas I have offered you, did you see both posts?. its ok if you are not prepared to discuss the topics.
