Thanks for confirming that all the Gods in existence are man made. A scripture from a religious text proves absolutely nothing, bud. Try again. If you choose to believe, that fine, that's on you. But don't try to cram what you perceive as truth down other ppls throats. That's a huge problem within religious community.
And, of course the bible has a lot of good teachings/life lessons. It was written by men over many years who have gone thru and experienced life itself. Anybody who's experienced life can give life advise lol... That doesn't prove the God of the bible is real. That proves that the ppl who wrote the bible over those many years went thru some shit. Nothing less, nothing more.
I'll jump ahead and link this for your Science vs Religion. It's an article I posted 8 years ago:
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=66747269&f=125That's the thing with the religious text, we study it and discuss it with others. We go to Church and find out more about the religious text. We ask questions and we want answers. What happens then if those questions are answered?
I have posted many threads about these things. I'll even link them here:
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=67022928&f=125&o=0#p449254948https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=71850688&f=125&o=0#p483628339https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73889562&f=119&p=525625079#p525625079Just the sheer amount of study and threads posted there proves that I did not take the religious text at face value. No, I went and did my research. I took notes at Church. I went to all the Bible Study groups when we did those series.
If you saw my previous post then you would see that I asked many, MANY questions. If you make a claim then you better be able to back up those claims. That is exactly what I did with The Bible. What happened is that every single one of the questions that I had was answered.
What happens then? What happens if your 20 questions are all answered? You know at that point that what you are reading is trustworthy and it is true. I have stayed here for many years.
As for the life advice, you missed the part where you are first saved by God. Look at the Exodus as a perfect example. The Israelite's were FIRST saved by God, through Moses, then they received the 10 Commandments.
What this means is that all that I do here, I am NOT doing this so that I can be saved. Jesus has already saved me. Since we are sure of the things we already know, we are compelled to tell as many of you as we possibly can.
Oh and before you mention those that "Have never heard of The Gospel" then that is all the more reason for the Missionaries to go out and tell the others. Besides, wouldn't you allow all of us to go out and tell everybody if you had those on your mind? Think about that.
