Ladder slasher is not only about clicking monsters and exploring the catacombs. There are "jobs" or proficiencies to master.
1. Transmuting: Turn those unwanted magical weapons, armors, or charms into essence. Those essence can then be used to reroll a more valued type of gear. That silly little robe might turn your sword into the talk of the town!
2. Glyphing: Somehow turn items into glyphs??? I don't know much about this one. Glyphs can be used to give temporary stat boosts for in the catacombs.
3. Suffusencing: Add to essences to fish or glyphs to increase their effects.
4. Fishing: Take a loaner rod, find one in the catacombs, or buy one in the market. Visit the pond or a catacombs well to hook yourself fish. They can be used to regen life and/or mana while in the catacombs.
5. Cooking: Cook up those fresh fish to increase their capabilities.
