"White" or gear without magical attributes can be thrown into wells found in the catacombs. You will get back the same type of item that you put in with random magical attributes. Plus you can get bonus additional magical items. Wear gear with magic luck prior to welling the gear to have a chance of getting a "overspawn" item. Overspawn gear can have the same level of magical attributes as the next tier up.

Normally level 5 weapons have a maximum of 80 enhanced effect, but a overspawn could have up to 100!

Bump, each additional alchemist online will grant global +2exp%. Hover over your exp bar while in the catacombs to see how many are online.

Sick of waiting forever in town to regen your health? Have no items to feed the shrine? Consider investing in life regen gear. Each point will directly increase the amount each 'tick' of life regenerated in town.

Pay attention to the str/dex ratios for your characters weapon. Clubs damage are strengthened through heavy placement of str points, while daggers are boosted by stating dexterity.
