Dear JSP Team,

every trading user uses to have more than one thread where he/she trades. When coming online and trying to bump own threads, one gets annoyed by „flood control“, even at times With no traffic!

This is really annoying and bringst no effect - at least in times with no traffic!

Hence I kindly request you to evaluate changing this function that flood control activates not directly after the first posting.

Proposal:
* Implement kind of "posting budget/minute" for each user, enabling users to bump their threads quickly and not get annoyed by flood control.
The function would be very simple:
function floodControl()
{
if ( UserHadMorePostingsThanFiveInLastminute() )
then
floodcontrol()
else
*do nothing*
}

Target: Let people enjoy trading on this site instead of getting annoyed. Everyone who has more than 3-4 threads knows what I'm talking about

That would be a great improvement.

Thanks and best regards

Hey, ,

If you are referring to the current 30-second posting delay, I believe it is quite adequate given that you can not have more than "4 threads up in the top 50 at any time."

As a result, if you have more than 4 threads that you are trying to bump at the same time, you might end up violating one of the trading rules listed here: trading rules.

Overall, the actual delay of 30 seconds seems balanced in my opinion. I would have to respectfully vote no.

Dear Tony,
thanks for your feedback. In either case, even if you try to bump three threads which takes usually less than 10 seconds, you're running into the waste of time, as you have to wait at least 1:30 minutes. Maybe I'm too impatient.... but on the other hand I don't know any person who loves to wait ;)

Do think your inpatient,mf for 30 seconds between bumps,or open a YouTube video or something,you don't have to sit there and wait for the flood timer lol,or consolidate your trade threads into a list,and it will get bumped from offers for you!

We have no plans to change the flood control at this time.
