As well all know, more and more new users are joining from d2r, and unfortunately scams are at an all time high. I see a lot of posts from victims expecting to receive their fg back from jsp after getting scammed, so maybe have a disclaimer that requires interaction to make users aware that jsp will not refund scammed fg. Maybe have a line at the bottom that says "will we replace your lost fg due to being scammed" they would type their answer. The mediator note is great, but it doesn't assure other that their fg is "safe" if they opt out.

Hey Nykollah!

I would add a poll to this topic to see if people are interested in the idea.

I am a new member myself and didn't have an expectation that the site will reimburse me due to any scammed activities. However, it will not hurt for new users to be informed of that.

The second part, where you mentioned that we can have someone potentially write "will we replace your lost fg due to being scammed," I believe you referred to individual members trading? If so, I don't think that promise will prevent potential scams. If a person was going to scam, he probably is not going to change his mind by writing this statement :)

However, I would vote yes on the website informing new users that it is not responsible for the action of its members as well as reimbursement of fg due to scams. It might be already stated somewhere though.

The second part, "we" being jsp, so they would be forced to read and respond rather than the typical "scroll, check box to accept to terms". I agree that if scammers want to scam, they will, but at least this way, I feel that the victim will take extra cautions as they know there's no insurance policy on their fg.

Example:

Before the create account button you read this message:

"Before you create your account, are you aware that we are not responsible for any problems that may result in you being scammed, and will not replace forum gold in the scenario that you are scammed" but with proper lingo of course

User would have to type in yes before continuing

Overall, I believe this site does provide quite a bit of protection, compared to other similar platforms; and people take scammer accusations pretty seriously here.

And as pointed above by Archangel_of_heaven, I believe you are expected to read the site rules, as well as the how to avoid being scammed section. I think they do make it clear there that it is not the jsp's responsibility to keep you protected from being scammed and explain to you what happens when you are scammed.

I don't think the message you mentioned above will hurt anyone, but I am not sure it is quite necessary either.

That's my opinion :)

It's their fault for expecting a refund.
You don't get it from mcdonalds either if someone steals your burger.
