Currently I have to download my gold logs so my win32 app can search my logs by user or comment. It would be great to have this function in the d2jsp gold logs. I am also aware of other users that import all their gold logs into Excel so they can search them.



What it could look like:

Ctrl+f is plenty to search logs on the site

I think this is a good idea.
When I buy something, i actually give details of what I bought so that I can find it again.
Sometimes you have to search a "little" longer, which would make the search function much easier.

I voted yes and for a few reasons. A few reasons can turn into pages so I will do as I normally do and cut to the basics here. The primary reason is having access and use to a variety of commented information and when on site.

It seems some groups of people are actively trading and with automation being off site, I also found making trades here on site in relation to player from only in game trading and gaming can be done around certain items and not really in search of a variety of God like items. In those player situations or something fairly similar a God-like item can easily be passed to another player for a unfair price, not sold at all, resold for a significantly good price, and more. I think enabling this type of search on forum gold logs could end up benefiting players who may not know the value of something they have, and or someone else in the community could quickly assistance in a proper price as experience and gold logs will begin to accumulate reflecting just that.

It just seems like a streamlined way to go about trading and more while being able to benefit the community in a variety of ways, while possibly being easily implemented as everything in that section of the site seems well contained and working as intended.

If the Gold log page was different with the ability to choose dates ( like start date and end date ) for the query you want then the ability to also add user search would be logical ( or search by the column you desire like comment, user, amount )
but, because you can't really adjust your search in the Gold logs then Ctrl+F on your browser will do the same thing as your suggestion OR download to Excel like you mentioned and do the search there.

actually i think it's a good thing for those who buy expensive items very often
because expensive items need a solid story and should always be commented.
finding them faster without leaving jsp / without having to download&execute additional stuff would be nice!
