That way people could have a visual confirmation that a mediator will be with them shortly.
Also user could cancel pending request (Possibly add a flood delay so people don't cancel/request mediator spam)

I think it would save a lot of time for the current mediator and also remove alot of confusion to user requesting a mediator not knowing if their request actually went trough.
Would be specially usefull once D2R is released.

i will not do any more trades here (since d2 is dead) but i've voted yes anyway because it seems useful both for users & mediators.
especially useful for users who use a mediator for the first time.

It is interesting, but I don't think it is needed. I do believe the system worked well before and will/does work well.

With the updates that have taken past this last couple weeks I think it is better to leave the Mediator tagged members with the responsibility they might be able to seek out to do and voluntarily then update the Tools system or other site functions to better handle Members Free Safe Trading Requests.


Thanks for sharing these idea and in all means I'm in support of making things easier on everyone, but as is I don't think this site suggestion direction is better than what we currently have or can work on improving while keeping the current system as is as much as possible.

For example there is a list of top meditators, others and I may want to Rise up to being #1 in that Community while being able to see it through like other #1s and more.

I don’t see much use here, once a mediation is accepted OP should be getting a PM within like 30 seconds after that?

It's not really about when a Mediator takes a mediation it's more about before a mediator takes it.
Sometimes no mediator are available and it can takes couples hours (Depending on games) to get a mediator.

The reason why i think this would be super usefull is the following.
1. For the user, it will give them a visual cue that their request was received and a mediator will be with them ASAP.
2. Ability for the user to cancel a mediation request if the trade in cancelled somehow or if they decided to trade without a mediator.
3. A lot of the mediation request that are up for more than 1 hours end up being canceled or user just decide to trade without a mediator, so if they could cancel it and free up the mediation queue, it would be usefull specially with D2R being released soon. There will be a lot more Mediator request and would make thing smoother for user and mediator.
