I like this idea.
Maybe a one time change, or maybe the edit vote option would follow the edit timer for the section just like a post would. X amount of time after cast vote.

Maybe having an option to restart the poll. Could be a forum gold purchase and it could notify everyone who has participated in the poll voting already. It could be limited to 1 restart/recount and later progress to 3, 4, and more. This would keep the current polling system a bit more intact.

I could also see a "rtv" polling system being implemented and for Gaming and Community purpose. IE Voting Starts and is taken down to the top 2 choices for a final outcome. I have not thought much about how rtv could be useful here, but with the variety of peoples opinions and games we have I would not considered it an impossible future.

What a great idea, sometimes people rush to a decision and just needed a second to reevaluate there first thoughts, I just came across one example here.

I like the idea behind being able to see what you voted, that's pretty cool. However I would prefer if there was some sort of graphic, like the bar of the one you voted for changes to a different colour or gets darker/lighter, something like that rather than rewording the text

As for the changing of the vote, I personally would be inclined to change my vote after seeing what other people have voted.. I think that's the whole reason it's hidden before you vote, that way you're voting what you really feel without influence on what is trending.

But maybe I'm just a pleb

Maybe change your choices one a month after choice in site suggestions,in other forums I think it would defeat the purpose of polls
Seeing what I picked it's a definite,I come across polls I don't remember voting on years ago lol
