Voted yes on stars. Seems funny.

But then we can't take advantage of the monster stats / item stats quality / etc. events and we'll only get crap

I don't like the idea, it's all getting too colorful here.
If you create a topic, your current stars are tied to it.
Now with that randomized star feature, your stars will change upon site refresh
and if you create a new topic, it will get other stars again, and again...
Imagine that person decides to bump his/her recent.. say 4 topics, they will all
be visible with different stars. That's (visually) annoying - voted no for this reason :/

I know that it applies only for the one you own, lets say i have a 500 star and i use this feature. I dont want to show my 25$ Star, i want to show my 500$.



I know, i understood it right. I still dont like the idea. Iam just a single vote/person on this idea. Majority wins but Onchair got also a valid point

But it would be the same as just not using the feature.

So in your case you would select your 500$ star not the random star

But now that I look at the post made by onchair about the threads I agree with them so I want to retract my vote

This isn't necessarily true, though. The design could be that on any given page, a user's stars are the same (yet randomly selected from their unlocked stars)

Does the Orb of Random have a different orb color for each user's post in a topic? I'm not sure

It works like orb of rainbow.

Where stars work off of posts

If I post a thread with a blue star

Then post a thread with a red star

Then change to a green star.

Bump both posts back to back

On the trade forum it will show a red star for original post on second thread. And a blue star on the first thread.

Then it would be green if you viewed my profile.

That makes sense. I didn't think of that. So I guess if the stars are tied like that then it is likely that it would just be a ton of different star colors for one user without there being a complete rework

Regardless, I say yes to the idea. I dunno what the big deal is if someone wants their stars to be that way and it's just another FG sink which can't hurt
