I get that. Again this was the first time using a med so I had no clue what the hell was going on.. it is a big deal to the unknowing

I'm really happy with my experience with mediators, id suggest u give it another try, and many people ive traded were like "first time using a mediator and this isn't nearly as bad as people say it is". Never adds more than 1-10 minutes to my trades

When you do 100 trades a day and most trades take about 20 seconds. Adding 1-10 minutes per trade is actually a huge deal bud

I’d decline to use a mediator most of the time and I have no malicious intent at all.

Yeah I guess so. My time isn't that valuable though (I'm just playing a video game), and I don't do 100 trades a day.

I deny every mediator trade except very large sums
I dont want to sound conceited but in 95% of all trades i get first without talking about and my trades mainly not use to be longer than 30 seconds
With medi request it takes ages and i have to fill out here, send there, pm there.
Sorry not interested.
But i think still that the opportunity to trade via mediator is a good thing but not for me

Same. I do about 20 a day. If I wait 10 mins per trade, that’s 3.5 hours a day waiting so my trading partner can feel ‘safe’. Insane to me. That’s more time than I’d have to play the game in a day…waiting for trades

I just don’t trade people who don’t give first unless it’s 500fg or less. Doesn’t mean I have ‘malicious intent’. It means I value my time

Typically takes a lot longer then that to have an SA case investigated if you do get scammed though, it’s also less likely as an older user to the forum that you’ll even be asked to go first so it’s less relevant to someone with a later join date then it is to someone with a new join date, there are too many variables tbh. Reality is you should just use a mediator if you either A-can’t get them to go first or B- you’re a new user and worried about being scammed. It’s also not like people with decent reputations haven’t scammed either, scams come in all shapes and sizes here as I’m sure you know in your many years here.

For me, its more like I know I'd be unhappy if someone ran off with my 10 d keys without paying. Is 450 fg really that much? No: you can buy that for ~$15. Is my life affected if someone stole $15 from me irl? No. But just like I would be bothered irl if someone grabbed $15 out of my hands and ran away, I'd be bothered in d2r if it happened. And if I know there's a way to prevent it that, to me, is not an expensive cost (1-10 minutes, and the average goes down the more I trade and the faster I get), I'm gonna take it.

And you should use a mediator honestly. As a new user you are vulnerable and it would be safer for you.
