As Bodierox mentioned in post #2 - The reason why we have that trading rule in place is to protect users from scams, having a system like that in place would actually encourage users to perform private message trades,
it's almost always a bad idea too as a seller to make deals in private because if you post your deals in public you'll potentially get more interest and better offers instead of having your trades being "sniped" at a lower price.
