Comment if you think or don't think that certain kinds of advertising and educating - like end-game playstyles and low level dueling etc. - as long as it's good mannered, logical, reasonable, understandable, and effective should be allowed in any and all of the popular trading forums where everyone can see it! Mention if you have even more suggestions!

Perhaps things like this can be posted in the trading forums using the "New Service" Button or a new type of button and only be public after it has been run through by a mediator?

sorry, a bit confused. those are trading forums for items though, that's why there is a guide section?

The Disney Channel is for watching Spongebob, but that's why there are advertisements of other partially related things also on it

that's why they have commercial breaks for advertisers lol

jsp's commercial breaks are the separate forums where your topic was moved to

Since that is a completely different, separate forum, it's not the same thing. It would be necessary for it to be in the same forum, essentially.

My JSP username is slightly trying to advertise solar power and renewable energy. Perhaps there's ways completely outside of this entire website as a whole where this would be more effective, but we're here

I think to be able to fully grasp what I'm trying to say and ask, it may be even more beneficial to have scholarly knowledge of marketing and economics

Trigger happy mods

I was asked to post, thus without further ado:

I wrote several Price Guides for D2R when it first came out. As an example see here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=92988581&f=276
This was quite similar to what we had back in the days of D2LOD here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=72865307&f=54

When I asked if such a price guide (once completed) could be stickied, the response was a "No".

In the same vein a better seperation between D2LOD and D2R on these forums was requested at the time of D2r Release. Eventually "D2LOD" and "D2R" tags in such forums as the "Trophy Room" - https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=103 were created. This has had disasterous results.



It basically meant that 2 games, made decades apart, had their different communities mashed together, and they did not get on, at all. From a LLD perspective its even worse - they deleted the LLD trading sub section "no activity" and made no D2r tags for the LLD forums https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=143 until very recently. By then alot of players had already moved to other platforms to trade and discuss.

I applaud your enthusiasm and I commend you, but it is very hard to make people change their minds. I tried for months and eventually gave up, but feel free to carry a torch for a better D2JSP (they can ask their moderators to enforce the rule "no racism" while they are at it (they dont)).

My best suggestion to you would be to write a blog and make it perfect with regards to your idea. try to get buy in from the community and slowly but surely network with a moderator or two and see what happens if you get them on board.

If all else fails, the only thing I can think of to be able to promote to more people, for example, that already play d2r to either try llding orlearn that llding even exists is to do what I have always been doing: make a 'juicy' and "legal" trade thread that both isos people and certain gear and also tries to maximize how many people would click on the thread (similar to how youtube and tiktok etc. works: more clicks to a video = more success for that video, on average)

Which, nevertheless, still seems inefficient
