So we have a way to apply via application in the S/A forum. You fill one out, potentially get interviewed, and that's that. Win or lose. I'm cool with how the process works for Members+(+) Junior mods, mods etc, but I just think it would be a neat idea to have the ability to apply via application to become a trade mediator. The exact same process via S/A is totally fine. I feel if we had more dedicated Mediators for trades throughout the site, scam rates would also decline some. You don't have to be Moderator to be a trade Mediator imo. And likewise, Mediators don't all have to be Mods. I myself would love to Mediate trades and have that tag allowing me to do so, but not entirely wanting Mod powers. I just want to help people out.

I just feel like it would give more incentive all across the board. If not that's ok. Just thought I'd share what was on my mind.

Applying to S/A helper has absolutely nothing to do with our current Trusted/Mediator system, so I highly doubt that this will ever happen!

It is. There are plenty of users that have the Mediator tag but they are not part of D2jsp staff. Being a Mediator doesn’t mean you are a a Moderator: those are two separate and different things

Your idea is wrong. The new rate of random TTs and mediators would only increase the number of frauds. You have to earn TT and prove that you are a trustworthy person. This is not an interview for a job in a pizzeria, a CV may be successful, if not, I will try in a month.

Yea I guess the Mod/Med interchange is moot then. I do still think a way to apply for it should be considered though. It doesn't have to be easy or any easier to get it, and it's quite easy to lose it if you abuse it.

Trusted tags are earned. Not applied for. The amount of applications that would be sent in everyday would literally be in the hundreds to thousands and would require a ton of man power to sift through and monitor.

The current system is more than satisfactory and does not need changing.

My application still says pending.

Please god no.
