please explain how this fight was harder for Khabib?

I expected Khabib to win, but to dominate him like that for 3 rounds?

in comparison with conor ?

easy to answer. Dustin pull some submission attempts and that second guillotine required lots of energy from khabib to get out of it. in the stand up early second round, khabib ate few solid punch that put him on the heel

vs conor, it was a walk in the park from the first till the mamamamamaa and there is nothing else to say about that fight
