I always found old TBC more fun than old vanilla. Took time with modern day versions.
just won dst with a 69 roll lul.
I started to play back in 2005. Back in vanilla i used to (beside pvp and raids) do a lot of "my shit" like always patroll around Astrannar that would usually get attacked. I had that feeling of this is NE territory, this is Human territory, Dwarf, Orc, Undead etc..
I was a hunter and i had the coolest bow ever (Rhok'Delar) used it the whole Vanilla, all the way to rank 13 (thank god R14 bow was shit), wich also followed with me up to lvl 70 at TBC.
After Vanilla i was pretty hyped for TBC, everything was new again. But with time i was missing those zones that carried each race identity. I didn't feel like i belonged to one of them anymore, i've lost a big world for 7 thematic alien like zones. This new world shrunk when i started to fly and even more when i was flying at 280%. There was no more Astrannar to defend, there was only these weird wpvp objetives that i could not care about. The pvp become this new player vs pillar that i never found it much fun.
My glorious bow was replaced by an quest bow that was the gray version of sunfury wich also looked cool. But then i ended up having to buy an engi gun because it was better (epic at least). Did Karazan countless time, never got the bow. At he last patch there was the Golden Bow of QT and the legendary bow that looked great. But by then i've already lost my will to raid seriously for one of them.
Tbc had a lot of improvements to the game, classes and specs. But in the end it only left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I quited TBCC it on day 1 after having a lot of fun with classic.
