I play alliance for the cities and the layout. Not for the racials. I've never liked horde towns etc.

Normally horde but Idk why I choose alliance for classic lol.

If you have friends you can play with and never have to pug anything, Alliance. If your plan is to pug everything, Horde.

If you prefer not to have your faction leader go crazy every other expansion, Alliance.

Why not play both? You get a different version of the story on each side, there are even achievements and mounts you can only earn by finishing both stories.

It really comes down to your own personal preferences. I mostly play Alliance, mainly because I've mained Feral since TBC and Shadowmeld is just stupid strong. Either way you go, if you're just joining pugs you're going to run into some people that just give you a headache. If you find a guild, or at least a few friends, that you click with you're going to enjoy yourself on either side.
