I play both, prefer horde just cuz it feels easier. It's weird cuz alliance feels way more developed

I play human lock and rogue for looks and pve racials. Mainly on the rogue. But alliance suck. Example partied with someone doing quest, w horde come along and 2vs1 me. I manage to Kill one and died. My ally did not help. He died right after and said I was just minding my own bussiness and doing the quest.

Once i decide ona. Good horde server im gona play mage/warrior since tanks suck too

For vanilla, horde is the only real choice UNLESS you want to play a paladin.

The problem with alliance is that a decent chunk of the population chose their class/race combo for aesthetics rather than the functionality of the combo (whereas Horde players tend to make decisions for meaningful reasons). Even if the value of the combo itself isn't necessarily that high, there is definitely a noticeable difference regarding the mindset of the player that chose it. When you are trying to recruit for a guild or play battlegrounds, you suffer from that overall weaker pool of players with a poor mindset.

That's not to say that there aren't any good alliance players. Of course there are plenty of good gnomes and dwarves. But to get an overall picture, all you have to do is consider this: APES has zero humans in the guild and only 2 night elves (druids ofc). Look around SW/IF and see all the humans and elves, that's how you know alliance players trend toward bad way of thinking.

That's technically correct. If vanilla had arenas, then the racials would make gnome the best choice for mage. However, the situation in vanilla is different from that.

Being a gnome means that you will face shamans and no paladins. Being an undead mean that you will face paladins(cakewalk for a mage) and no shamans. The benefit of being able to face more favorable matchups outweighs the difference in racials.

At the very top-end of pvp (10v10 organized WSG teams with skilled players) this difference is heavily minimized or fades altogether. When you separate yourself from the rabble, the general OPness of paladins in group pvp make gnome come out looking like a good choice.

But for general gameplay (average player, variety of situations included random wpvp and bgs) undead is a better overall choice.
