I heard that bosses don't drop gold or portal scrolls if it is a quest-drop. But I have killed Baal and he did drop gold, even though it was 100% a quest-kill.
So how do I know if it's a quest drop or not?

"Quest drops ensure you won't get any white items, arrows/bolts, potions, or any other "trash" from the drop."

I don't think gold is included in that list. Meaning, gold can drop.

But to this point, i am quite certain i have gotten such items from andariel when quest bugged the traditional way, i.e. the tp-warriv thing. I am always rigid when doing that, so i'm not sure if it works 100% of the time, or if it's very accurate.

It seems more efficient when i quest bug andariel the unorthodox way, i.e. having 1 character done the quest, make game, leave, rejoin with char that needs quest, seems like i get better drops that way.

But i usually focus on mephisto, diablo and baal. At least the two last seem to drop better packs of loot.

thank you for sharing your experience.
I want to q-bug baal by killing it with a character who does not have the quest done, but I only want to do this if it's really worth it. that means, if it is really q-bug loot.
