You would need tens or hundreds of thousands of people to buy more copies of a game that most of the target demographic already owns

Or, alternatively, they could just make a new game that gullible blizzard fanboys will pay $60 for even if they know it's going to be trash and which has a much broader potential audience than a 20 year old isometric arpg with no 3d graphics
