I believe that's 過ぎたるは及ばざるが如し in Japanese, which actually is from Chinese 过犹不及. I'm a Japanese and speak/write just like native Chinese as well :)

I think that everything is connected in four fields: Philosophy, psychology, economics and astrology. And it's quite a wonder we learn nothing about those things in school.
