why astrology? i believe it is irrelevant to our existence as a species
and is also considered divination in some religions
Well to explain it simply is difficult, but i got into it about 18 years ago. I don't believe much in the horoscope part, foretelling future. It's the personality thing that i do believe in. I haven't researched the history too much, i should do that. But the personality traits, and the composition of the birth charts, not just the Sun sign that 90% of everyone is introduced with), seems to fit me, my immediate circle and the thousands of people i've checked very strongly. I check birth charts of actors and people in my immediate and peripheral circle all the time. It's very interesting to say the least.
And it seems that the more you get to know a person, the more details in the chart fits. It can be very complex though, and i'm not a particularly brainy guy, so fully researching a birth chart can be very extensive. And matching that with a person's personality, acts and life choices, can be up to interpretation as well. So there are random factors. But i've seen too many similarities in personalities and even in the physical appearances of people, in order for it to be completely random and divination.
And that's where it deviates from religion, or whatever, those religions that is based upon the bible, that is just fantasy stories, because nobody can verify or relate what is written in that book into today's reality. They can -say- that god created the earth 6000 years ago and jebus fed thousands with 5 fish and 2 loaves of bread or whatever, but they can't prove it. And also that a voice gave the 10 commandments through a burning bush. Most likely it was someone high on peyote or something like that.
I can read about astrology and i see similarities in people's aesthetical appearance, and behaviour. And i believe that happens because of interstellar objects that affect us in some way. And although i am a realist, i can't speak for all people that's ever lived, maybe someon actually has seen or experienced something that is quite unbelieveable to most others. Considering how many people that has ever lived, there is a possibility of that.
One more thing to back my belief in astrology up, is that science is still young. We have only been doing science on a semi-advanced level for about 30-40 years. It's not long before that we all lived in a dark age where everything was ruled by tyranny, iron hand power and extreme social stigmatization. I.e. if you didn't sell your soul, you got tossed out of society. So maybe in the future, they will discover that there are many more facets to life than we humans can currently fathom. And then they may find out that the objects in our solar system do affect us in ways we couldn't predict before. It wasn't many years ago they discovered about gravitational waves, 2015. We will keep discovering things. Imagine what they discover 2000 years from now, if we still exist then.
Whether the governments that make these discoveries share them with the population though, that is another matter. Because they want the general mass of people to stay stupid so that they are desperate for answers (soul desperation), become semi-depressed, and stay easy to control and forced to work through short-lived rewards like food, money and casual sex popularized by the brain-decrepifying mass media industry. I mean ask what people would do if they won a billion dollars, 99% would either change their profession or quit work altogether if they are too overworked from a too early age. The educational system is simply there to make people work for the rich - no other reason at all.

I think that everything is connected in four fields: Philosophy, psychology, economics and astrology. And it's quite a wonder we learn nothing about those things in school.
