Do not use false advertising to describe an item. For example, if an item is a common dupe and is being sold in mass, it cannot be described as legit/perm/whatever else you may use to imply the same meaning. <--- Does not mean I need to tell someone anything, I just can't describe a duped item as something it is not. I don't need to say it's duped. It is known in ANY single player game that has client sided files that some people can do things to the save file or just load from a back up save. This is a known thing therefore does not need to be described as such. I just can't falsely advertise as "I legit farmed these things 100%" etc. That would be false advertising.

Remember how in your thread you weren't duping the items?

You should admit when sellling dupes. Because if not youre aiming to take advantage of people before they find out there is mass dupe method.

I said I wasn't alt+f4ing to keep the items and that's true, I am making a copy of the save file on my end. I still had to get all these items myself legitimately I'm just not losing them after I trade because of the backed up save file. Also nowhere in my thread did I advertise the items as duped or not duped. Just the items. You really don't understand what false advertising means do you? You just read something, place your own definition on it, and regardless of what anyone else says or the actual definition of the word, only your definition actually matters.

I'm sure you reported the post and it's still up, because the moderators and site admins actually have this organ called a brain and it's not as smooth as yours. They actually use this organ to know what "False Advertising" means. The people buying items from me also understand what it is, they're paying for security and convenience. They don't want to go through the trouble of joining a friend's game, dropping items, then reloading their save, and getting those items back. The amount of time this takes is quite consuming, and it is 100% allowable by the game company and this is done by design. From Soft could have easily made the saves purely server sided. They didn't and have never done so from their Armored Core days.


Also people aren't dumb, they know exactly what they're buying. It is fully understood that items can be duped or whatever in this game by simply backing up your save file and dropping the items to your friend or even if you had another PC in your house and you did this. That's why in that same line it is said "if an item is a common dupe and is being sold in mass, it cannot be DESCRIBED as legit. (Keyword is capitalized). Runes and items are known to be duped, I just can't describe it as anything else but I don't need to disclose it either. Notice how there's no rule that says "YOU MUST DISCLOSE IT IS DUPED" only that I can't DESCRIBE it as legit.

People aren't stupid and they know EXACTLY what they're buying. I have a purchase order right now for an amount of runes that I can not hold right now without actually reloading my save file, if this person didn't know this wasn't legit, they wouldn't ask for this many runes. You'll see my fg go up in just a bit here as proof to my words, I'm currently at 3152 at the time of this post. I should over double that by the end of the trade. They know. They don't care. This is their choice to pay for this service. You know, the whole freaking point of the entirety this forum was created to cater to.

You were here in 2005. When d2jsp was a BOTTING forum. And people traded items found with the d2jspbot for forum gold because their bot didn't find it or they didn't want to bot. That never removed the value those items held to the people willing to pay. This whole thread is just sad man. In every regard. People are paying for security and convenience. Not for the items.
