Yeah. Overall Morata didn't do too bad this tournament. Better than in the past Euro at least.

But of course, he's not a world class striker, unfortunately. Aspas is imo by far the best we have, and he wasn't called because of his personal feud with Luis Enrique. Borja Iglesias is proabably our most in form striker, but he's too static for Luis Enrique.

And even so, neither of them come close to Villa's level.

Morata is link up/hold up CF, best play with 2 up top Morata a bit behind main clinical striker. he never done great when play him up top with 2 winger, and spain wingers not clinical too. So its just squad of players where nobody has ability to slot goals in consistently.

From what we see today, Portugal might just go and win it. Solid all around when old crybaby isn’t interfering and making everything about himself and his ego.

Luis Enrique has been sacked. Luis De La Fuente, who was the U21 manager will take over.

Not sure what to think about this tbh. He has no experience managing senior squads... but he has achieved success with Spain's national youth teams (U19 and U21). I guess that the idea behind this is that he knows the new generation of players that Lus Enrique has been building, since they were under him just a couple years ago.

Perhaps not the most exciting alternative, but let's see how it goes.
