Well, as I said, with Spain's squad, it was unlikely we would get past quarterfinals.

Even though I was expecting a tough game (I had money on us winning during ET), falling in the first ko round is probably a failure. I mean, tbf, I don't think you can do much better with these players, but we should at least be able to beat Morocco over 120 minutes.

Let's see what happens from now on. Luis Enrique has made several questionable decisions, first with his list (as I pointed out in fender's thread), and later with some tactical blunders like playin Llorente today as a RB, insisting on his god awful son in law, etc.

He has said that he will discuss his future with the RFEF president next week. I wouldn't mind if he left because of these questionable calls (which unlike in the Euro, they didn't work this time), but tbh I don't really see many other managers capable of performing better, because this generation is simply mediocre. Yes, you could have Aspas, Canales, Merino, etc... they would improve the squad, but I can't see them transforming this squad into semifinal contenders either.

Attack very sluggish, nobody take charge as Villa have being tip of spear of RM/Barca squad. Morata is just that, Morata

Yes, spaniards aren't used to getting past a moroccan wall, generally it's the other way around.

Jokes aside, it wasn't just the lame possession football, it was also the fact that Ferrán lost a shit ton of balls, and our whole attacking line didn't apply pressure until the subs came on at the end.
