Me neither.. the only thing about the women's world cup is that it reminds me of how much I want to plow Alex Morgan's snatch.

these women "refs" are an embarrassment. piers morgan could do a better job

that was literally the softest penalty ever called in the history of soccer

Someone, please explain the VAR rules to me.

The U.S. midfielder was clearly fouled around the England box before the lead up to the England PK. Doesn't VAR have to power to cancel the penalty and restart play where the foul occurred?
Or does this only apply if it's a goal scored and not potential PK?

no one knows lol.

only certain things are reviewable though. random fouls arent one of them

i think its only clear goal scoring opportunities and cards that are reviewable

I thought that in any play where it leads to a goal or PK, the entire play from the last dead ball can be reviewed for something missed such as if the ball went out. I thought this applied for clear missed fouls too.

nah its only the actual penalty itself. theres a foul literally every time the ball is in play. if they did that, the whole game would just be a review

For example when VAR stops the play and they go back and hand a yellow for a slap to the face that was missed. If that happened during a build up that lead to a PK, and the ref missed it, the PK would not be granted and play would return to the location of the foul.
Full arm extension, leg extension leading to a trip...what I mean by "clear' and has no room for doubt.
I really thought that's how VAR was going to be used. ...I don't like the way it's being used.

they would skip over that and just call the pk

but thats what i meant in my first post.....no one really knows how it works. doesnt help when you have women refs who look like they havent seen a game of soccer in their lives before this tournament
