I think it's a classic case of too many new signings. Last year he knew what his best starting 11 was every week. Between trying to fit in massive money signings like Havertz who are struggling to settle and having injuries to players like ziyech who should probably have the right wing slot nailed down by now he doesn't know what to do. Hell, he still hasn't decided on who to play as striker.

With all that said though, a lot of these players just don't seem to be putting the effort in. How much of that is down to Lampard is the real question.

he should just play Giroud. he is older and not as flashy or fast or expensive as all those young guns but he is ultra-Chad when it comes to scoring.

and yeah they just signed way too many players agree there. they can basically field two top-four quality teams in terms of talent but there is zero chemistry. the first half the entire team looked like they couldn’t be bothered
