isn't that decided by goal line technology, and not the VAR? i mean, it clearly looks in, but the VAR has a defined set of rules as to what they are allowed to officially review. still sucks ofc.

Nah, commentators said VAR has the authority to overrule the goal line tech. Whether they were wrong I dunno, but I'd expect them to know whats what.

According to sky there was a possibility for VAR to interfere and give it as a goal.

very importand (and unexpected) away win in dortmund yesterday. a good performance against bremen on saturday, and we'd likely avoid relegation. most important match in years for us. that said, i'd hate to see bremen relegated. we have so many shit clubs in the league that deserve it more (augsburg, wolfsburg, leipzig, hoffenheim).

i see. i guess they probably know better if they comment on it. i wasn't sure.

well, we've had some pretty outrageous decisions involving VAR here as well.

defenders playing volleyball in their own box and nothing happens, and the next matchday someone gets hit in the shoulder with a ball, and suddenly it's a penalty... i used to be a proponent of VAR, thinking it would eliminate some mistakes, but right now it feels like it just added a layer of randomness and (at least here in germany) and a two class system as to which teams get controversial situations checked, and which teams don't.

VAR has the potential to be the best solution, but incompetence and a big grey area makes it more of a problem than a solution atm.

Huuuuuuge game tonight for Mallorca against Leganés.

A defeat here would mean a blow that's very hard to recover from. It's a shame that we won't be able to play these crucial games with the fans in the stadium, but winning is an absolute must.

A few days ago we had an unfortunate defeat 1-0 against Villarreal, despite having more shots on goal than them and hitting the bar twice... today we can't let the 3 points escape our grasp!

Yes :/

First half was good, but the second half was imo thrown away by our coach... lots of defensive substitutions.... the team parked the bus during the last 20 minutes, and the draw was deserved in the end.

Very bad result for us, especially considering how painful a late goal is, but let's hope we can come back from this.

Chilwell scored a banger but we let in a donkey goal from a corner right at the end. Shame. Overall about what you'd expect first game back, pretty lethargic.

Bremen were on the verge of relegation for quite a few seasons now. Felt like it was inevitable.

Congrats on staying up!
