Everyone 18 and over had the chance to get the vaccine by early July in the UK, and everyone over 30 when the Euros were taking place. Why should we have restrictions because of a small minority that don't want the vaccine?

People that are dying now are the unvaxxed, which I'm fine with because that was their personal choice

what about those between 18 and 30? do they simply not count? also, anti-vaxxers aren't the only ones protected by measures to slow the spread, just like death isn't the only negative consequence of a covid infection. anti-vaxxers still get treated in hospitals, which leads to other surgeries being delayed. unvaccinated children still benefit from not recklessly infecting them, even if their chances of severe complications are relatively low. dangerous mutations are also more likely to develop the faster the virus spreads. yes, as we approach the expected peak of vaccinations, i think it's fair and reasonable to open up as much as possible, but when england caved to UEFA pressure during the euros, that wasn't the case yet. how many needless covid deaths would you say are acceptable to have 67k boo foreign anthems, rather than just 35k?

People between the ages of 18 and 30 are highly unlikely to develop a severe infection or die. They also made a conscious choice to go to a game they knew would have a massive crowd, where they can drink all day before hand and mingle with others, which is the actual cause of spread and not the act of watching a football game outdoors

As a result of the personal choices taken and the economic benefit of having a full crowd it outweighs the negative health implications

absolutely disgusting how bad racism is amongst many english football fans. massive abuse against the players who missed their penalties:

shocking behaviour. has it always been that bad, and is it just social media that makes it more visible to the public? has the thinly veiled xenophobic rhetoric around brexit worsened and emboldened the bigot scum, or what might be the reason for this being such a huge issue, from booing your own team for kneeling to racially abusing players for missed penalties?

just to inb4 the butthurt reactions, personal attacks, and whataboutisms of our english crowd: i'm not saying every single englishman who loves football is a racist, of course not. that said, it obviously isn't just a few bad apples either, but a systemic issue that at least seems to have gotten worse recently, and i'm curious what you think the cause is.

the three blacks received what they deserverd.
