If you tell someone you're going to go round their house and kill their entire family, that is punishable by law in the UK
If it has racist undertones then it's the same as above but can also be classed as a hate crime
btw, out of millions of people there will always be a few messaging you on instagram making fun of you for whatever reason, IMO it's not newsworthy. Report the racists to the police and move on

Yes we do, and have for some time now. The vast majority of hate crime cases are settled by the defendant admitting to the crime. Police are less likely to get involved in a hate crime that falls into "gray and subjective" areas. Most hate crime convictions come with another conviction, so say one of Heinrich's buddies slaps a jew and calls him a yid while doing it, he'd get charged with assault for the slap, and potentially have his sentence increased because of it being religiously motivated. Most punishments for hate crimes on their own are pretty weak, and more designed around scaring idiots into not being idiots. It sounds scary on the face of it, but considering most of these morons are caught on camera being racists, or like the current ones attacking England players are stupid enough to type all their racist nonsense in tweets and the like, the vast majority of cases are so clear cut it's ridiculous.
The term 'hate crime' can be used to describe a range of criminal behaviour where the perpetrator is motivated by hostility or demonstrates hostility towards the victim's disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or transgender identity.
These aspects of a person's identity are known as 'protected characteristics'. A hate crime can include verbal abuse, intimidation, threats, harassment, assault and bullying, as well as damage to property.
TL:DR racist cunts deserve to be punished, no fucking need for it whatsoever.
Ah I see. It makes sense in context of committing another crime like threatening/assaulting etc. The article was vague and I wasn't sure if the police were literally investigating and looking to arrest people just based on calling someone a racial slur, which to me seems draconian, something you would see from Henrich's east German ancestors.
