Every club is affected by covid 19, Liverpool less so than most of others due to their significant off the field revenue, and yet third transfer window in a row, the committee instead of strengthening look for another miracle - you well know the drop off in quality once one of forward three gets injured is pretty dramatic.

Paying a £50m transfer fee and £200k a week wages for Werner (or any near world class player) to sit on the bench would be a steep investment, even by Man Utd's standards.

No AFCON either and our front 3 have very good injury records in general. If one of them were injury prone then it would be a bigger priority to get quality cover in. It's not like Origi, Shaqiri or Ox are bad players either. Gini can also play there.

My preference was to get Werner in regardless of COVID-19 but I understand why we didn't and there are 2 more months of the transfer window to sell some players and bring some in.

The front three's injury record is unprecedentedly good, surely your luck will run out sooner rather than later.

I suppose though swapping Wijnaldum for Thiago is a massive improvement if you can pull that off.

Chelsea full on on a spending spree. Werner, Ziyech, Chilwell and Thiago Silva, Sarr, Havertz also all joining soon. It's mad.

wow £50m for Chilwell, Leicester fleece another club for an average English defender.

He's no better than Shaw and I wouldn't even have him over Williams at that price, that being said we definitely need an upgrade on Shaw mainly due to how injury prone he is, and hope we go all out on Reguilon if Solskjaer is looking to bring in a full back.

Very decent money tbf. Supposed to be £50mill + some in bonuses and whatever.

Still sad to see him go. Always sad losing one of the (very few) players who make it through the ranks. Interested to see how he gets on at Chelsea, they've spent a fortune this summer, have to imagine anything less than being in contention at the top won't end well for Lampard.

at least he’s been given a warchest, which makes it easier for them to compete.

Utd arent spending at all it seems, Jose will do his usual moping and getting no one in according to him, Leicester are going to sell high and buy low, Wolves probably get some in and Traore will be sold, Arsenal likely wont get enough in etc.

Serious question, where the hell do utd need to spend? Another centeback maybe? And a right winger? Even though greenwood has been decent.

Can't really see any other areas easy to upgrade without the big bucks.

Relying on Greenwood for a whole season is silly hes 19. When Rooney and Cristiano were teenagers they were not expected to carry the frontline. Greenwood is a striker playing RF too not a natural winger

They need depth sorely. The drop-off after the starting XI (which i think is good, still a bit behind Pool and Citeh but those two have much better depth) and a couple squad players is dreadful

I do not think Sancho is happening

an ideal window if these idiots would learn how to bring players in: right-sided winger, two midfielders, cb, maybe one cdm

they do not need superstar signings. although if Sancho could be done i’d be for it 100%
