Cristiano is still good enough to improve a team like Utd, but his ego created a toxicity that actually hindered Utd.

If he learnt to accept his place as a player within the team, he'd be great to have around. But not while he still has the mindset of expecting the team to work for him. Not just because he's no longer THAT good, but because it would be counter productive for a club like Utd to structure itself around a 37 year old player.

Letting him go will be good for Utd.

I've heard rumours that link him to Saudi Arabia or Newcastle, but idk. I'm pretty sure that no top clubs will have him.

It would be nice to see him go back to Sporting.

Well it's not going to happen. Cristiano wants a club to structure itself around him, as they have always done. No big club in their right mind are going to do that considering he'll be 38 by the end of the season.

At least Messi, who also has his own personality flaws, is fine with PSG structuring itself around Mbappé, who is over 10 years younger. Even he understands that it would be absurd to ask PSG to throw their future out the window and focus on him rather than Kylian.

Right now Cristiano doesn't have the right mindset for a top club. Either he tames his ego and learns to accept a different role (from which he could still be racking up tons of goals), or it's over for him. And after that tantrum interview where he made a caricature of himself, I think its too late for him, unfortunately.

Doubt he'll lower his wages that much to be able to play at Sporting.

the thing is, by now he must have realised that he won't be able to earn what he used to at any european top club. he's too old and too toxic for that. so he will either need to:

- move to an irrelevant league that wants him for marketing reasons and doesn't mind / can afford paying his insane wages (most likely option imo)
- massively cut back on what he asks for, to find a somewhat competitive club in europe to play at (least likely option imo)
- or go back to his youth club, also cut back on his wages, but save face somewhat, and having the chance to play champions league at least (middle ground)

so although i share your doubts about him being willing to lower his wages so significantly, you shouldn't underestimate his ego. at sporting he'd at least have a good reason to do so, and he could pretend it's his love for his youth club, and not the fact that no one else in europe is willing to pay his premium any longer.

- most likely that the biggest influencer in the world has other sources of income and running Businesses and can take a cut in wages.
- PSG/Chelsea have plenty left to spent on wages, np for them.
- the only toxicity is Glazers and UK Media keeping ronaldo on the headlines for views.

ronaldo made the glazers sell with this interview, United fans should be forever grateful.

really recommend you to watch the full piers morgan interview and not scapegoat his ego cause its easy for you.
