Told you. Greek police are corrupt asf and it's literally their word against Maguire and his mates, of course they will side with the police.

Best case scenario a suspended prison sentence or retrial through appeal perhaps?

Pretty obvious he's never going to jail, some of the details if true are a bit mental though - Albanian trafficking gang drugged his sister and that's how the alternation escalated

So nothing then. They just charged them as quickly as possible and got them out of there. It's one of those, charge them with a suspended sentence so it looks like a win, then hope they don't want to spend time/money challenging it situations.

The defence wasn't even given time to build a case. Greece is about as corrupt as it gets for these kinds of things.

Expect an appeal which ends in this whole thing being dropped.

But saying that, if some of the details of what Maguire and co did are true then he is a very lucky boy to not be sitting in a greek prison right now.

End result is he's got off light as fuck and has had the priveledge of the England boss and large segments of the media defending him before the court even came to a decision. He'll no doubt also have utd working tirelessly to sweep it under the rug as fast as possible.

Other players wouldn't be so lucky. Not by a long way.
