Well Wales, aside from some exceptions, are a bunch of second rate players; easily Europe's weakest representative, and I see nothing special in them really. I would say that on paper they are slightly better than Iran, making them theoretically the 3rd best in the group, but this result isn't all that out of the ordinary.
