Your boys seem to be doing great, long gone are the days of Ogunjimi, eh?

Yep, we're having a really good season. The players play their hearts out every match, and if it weren't for a few silly defensive mistakes at the end of the game, we would easily have 6 more points. Really happy with the performances, I hope we can keep up the pace after the WC.

Also, our striker Muriqi is an absolute beast. He's not only a prolific scorer, but also he wins a shit ton of balls and drags defenders with his huge size, he adds a lot to the team. Pair that with a good CAM / 2nd striker like Lee Kang In, and we have a very nice attacking line.

The defense and midfield have been solid too now that everyone is back from their injuries, and we finally found a good goalkeeper in Rajkovic (on Serbia's bench tonight).

The only issue is the lack of depth in the squad. If we begin to suffer injuries, we might get into trouble.

Has to do with audiences.

It's easier for equatorians and americans to watch their games if they are in the last two scheduled matches. Making Ecuador play on the seond game wouldn't make much sense.

still seems odd, the teams need to play at the same time on game 3

interesting. can you be a bit more specific? what exactly do you find so annoying? what do you regard just empty "virtue signalling"? kneeling before the match? commentators wearing armbands that FIFA banned for teams? the discussion of qatar's terrible human rights record? all of it combined?

and that really annoys you more than the fact that a country with no football tradition whatsoever blatantly bribed its way to hosting a world cup? a world cup that, against all tradition and established season planning, has to be held in the winter? it's more "annoying" than the fact that literally thousands of workers, held in slave-like conditions, died building the infrastructure for it, in a country that blatantly disregards the rights of women and LGBT+ people?

i mean, i've said before that i had rather seen the big national football associations like the DFB and the FA outright boycott the event, which would have put some real (economic) pressure on FIFA, but since this didn't happen, i'd rather see people drawing attention to the issues than seeing bribed shills like david beckham and gianni infantino pretending all those problems simply don't exist...

Mainly the pundits, journalists and people in the media wearing one love armbands and making statements when they know they’ll face zero consequences; while simultaneously pocketing a load of cash going over there. They can’t lose

I don’t blame players at all for this and yes ultimately it is FIFA’s fault for being corrupt and giving them the World Cup without at least having them agree to pre-set standards

Of course, any team has a chance against any other team, but England should win on paper as their players are a lot better. Bookies currently have the US as a 6/1 underdog which seems long to me. As someone that watches England closely, we haven’t been in great form going into the tourney. We got slapped by Hungary home and away in the recent qualifiers. People are getting carried away with a good performance against Iran
