The monetary pull of the premier league is demand driven. People want to watch the league and they are willing to pay more money for it. Sponsors will pay premier league clubs more due to the increased exposure they get, and sheikhs come in as a result of the consumer driven demand. That's why sheikhs aren't going to the Blundesliga or La Liga.
At the end of the day we bought players like Coutinho for 15m and sold them for 140m, it's good business and our net spend is low. Man United are big spenders but the revenue generated is enormous, why not spend big on players with that money?
Citeh and chelski are the only real plastic clubs here and the latter haven't been spending huge money for a good few years now.
