I agree with your overall thoughts, Hock being the best option for need and fits close to value. As for murray going #1 I'd probably bet money it's not to the cards. I still think its a huge smoke screen to gather interest to trade back so they can get Oline and Dline talent. I doubt any team in the top 15 will give up a first for rosen which is seemingly what they want and that being said they have a ton of needs that 1 QB won't fix but capital potentially could

Hockenson would make perfect sense because he's a true, all around TE and Foles' favorite target is a TE. Would fill a big need for us and we wouldn't be reaching for somebody at #7, like say OT Jawaan Taylor imo. I'd rather have OT Jonah Williams at #7 over Taylor. Jonah could play RT and/or Guard, both spots we need to add a possible starter/depth. Taylor is a RT only and I think he's overrated. I'd also rather have Andre Dillard or Dalton Risner over Taylor. Risner is straight nasty and I think Dillard could end up being the best OT in this draft. Hes got some smooth feet/hips for a big man.

I think it's all but a done deal that Murray is going to the Cards. It could be a smoke screen of course, but I don't think so. There's rumors going around that the Redskins are going to give up a 2nd round pick in this draft and a mid round pick in the 2020 draft for Rosen (which is supposed to be the best offer they've got). Also rumors going around that the Cards already told Murray he was going to be the guy at #1. Obviously it's lying season though, so you gotta take all those rumors with a grain of salt. I still think Murray is the guy at #1 for the Cards though. I do agree though, that Cards team needs A LOT of help and a trade down from #1 could add some very nice draft resources to help that team.

Risner is a third round talent and I think extremely overrated. Extremely sloppy and loses most battles against any speed rushers. He's too slow off his step and takes poor body angles. Also he cant reconignize proper blitz pick ups to save his life. I haven't watched Taylor because I doubt he makes it to the vikings so i havent seen much. To me the only two Oline I like are Jonah and Cody Ford (minus taylor because i havent again seen him), both great polish with hand battles and power. Ford has shut down top players over and over it's been fun watching him and he's who I hope we end up drafting.



As for murray reports are dumb. Don't fall too much for them nor do I care for them. Shefter also "reported" that too this point (yesterday) the cards have engaged in 0 trade talk and have not entertained trades for rosen, only accepted hearing calls. So it's all hearsay. To me they arent giving up that much draft capital last year for a QB to only give him one season. If the coach can't figure out how to make it work with he has, he is a terrible coach to begin with.

Risner goes in the 2nd round imo. Wouldn't be shocked if he went in the late 1st.

Andre Dillard is the best pass protecting OT in this draft. All they did was throw it at WSU. His only questions are about how good is he in the run game. Hes shown the ability to run block, but like I said, it's a small sample size because all they do is throw the ball at WSU. There's a lot to like about him though.

The new Cards coach runs an Air Raid type of Offense (same that Murray ran at Oklahoma). That's not who Rosen is as a QB. Murray fits the exact style of Offense Kingsbury is going to run with the Cards. Hes only got one shot as a HC in the NFL if he fails. If you only have one shot you better go all in with your guy. If he feels Murray is that guy, I don't blame him for going after him. Kingsbury also said he'd draft Murray #1 overall if he had the chance, during this past season while he was still the HC for Texas Tech. Everything literally points to Murray being the pick. If they end up going in a different direction, then they put up the ultimate smoke screen and pulled the wool over everyone's eyes.
