lol no chance Hoglander starts in the AHL, Canucks fans have become so strange with Hoglander for no reason.
I don't know how it'll go in the locker room if Miller's fat UFA contract forces a Horvat trade, even though it's probably a good idea based on what Bo is going to demand
A lot of reason actually, Johnson, Cull and even Hansen felt Hoglander needed some time to develop in the AHL to learn the complete game, but Benning rushed him into the NHL like he did with all other 1st/2nd rd guys with potential to be more than a bottom 6 player in the NHL.
He had a rough season, and he's definitely bound to bounce back, but it'll be tough for him to do that if he's playing on the 4th line or rotating in and out in the top 9.
He struggled offensively since Bruce took over, and lost his trust. Not only offensively, but he has been terrible without the puck as well, and looked lost af. He was definitely one of the players that struggled the most after Dickinson.
It's weird because he didn't look out of place in his rookie season and won as many board battles like Pearson, and was awesome even when he wasn't scoring. He had twice as many takeaways than giveaways and just looked dominant when he didn't have the puck. However with Bruce, he was often out of position, lose his guy and they score, and this is while playing less minutes and being sheltered..
Looking at the extra bodies upfront, trade is much more likely to happen. However, if nobody is moved, i wouldn't be surprise that they send hogs down to develop on the 1st line in the AHL with the sedins since this regime is all about developing players properly. I mean they can definitely send Lockwood down again, and play Hogs with Lazar/joshua or dick but damn that's meh.
