I agree with you if the guy has a lot of experience and has proven that he is a good gm, I wouldn't care that he doesnt speak French. For example, if Joe Sakic wants to be Montreal GM, I am okay with that. But if the guy has no experience then im asking him to atleast speak French because otherwise what makes your different from the others candidate.

Julien Brisebois is considered the best gm right now.

My bad english shows why we need a bilingual gm.

I didnt say Brisebois built the team. He didn't. But when you think about it, Gainey built Montreal Canadiens and not Bergevin and Berg is considered better than Gainey

From what it sounds like the GM will act as more of a face to the franchise than a typical GM would, and Jeff Gorton would be the one making the important decisions.
