Tryamkin signs with KHL team for 3yrs.
Benning states that he was willing to pay him, but I can see why tryamkin didn't trust him and waited like last season. He got screwed and had to take much less in the KHL cuz he waited for Benning to figure shit out, but ultimately couldn't and tryamkin was forced to sign a cheap deal cuz his KHL team used up their rubles. He probably didn't wanna make the same mistake twice.
If Benning was willing to sign him, why didn't he? Or the very least tell his agent and have a verbal agreement? I feel like it's another communication issue. Reports say that they didn't even negotiate. Also Todd his agent says that they were willing to sign a 1 yr deal, but canucks offered 1 and 2way deals that didn't make sense for him to move to Vancouver, especially when he would make less in the NHL.
Lolnux org is a mess. If green walks, and/or Benning gets fired, and aquaman's plan is to hire another rookie gm and coach, to save cost, I don't know if it'll improve the team at all. It'll just be a rookie gm fucking up again, no president of hockey OP, lol rookie coach gonna suddenly make this team better than Green managed with what he got? Not to mention letting everyone go one by one, seems like they couldn't meet Ian Clark's deadline either and he decided that he's walking too. What's aquaman's plan here? Become owner, gm, coach?
no reason for Tryamkin to not be over here if that's what he wanted. considering how wide open the blue line was. now he signed only long enough in the KHL so he's an UFA in the NHL by the end of his contract. another day, another pissed asset by Jimbo what's new
and crazy how the org has been slowly hollowed out since Linden got fired. honestly if I were Petey/Hughes I would insist on a deal that took me straight to UFA. more intent to cut costs than win over the past several years, and even then cheap has come very expensive with the lack of org depth and unstoppable string of garbage UFA signings.
