juolevi made 1 big mistake, but it's also his 2nd nhl game. He has been quietly solid with his limited ice time.

He was heavily sheltered, which is expected. I like how after the mistake that costed the team a goal, he responded with a solid game instead of making more mistakes. He made most of his sheltered minutes by having 85% corsi, defending against Leon Draisaitl & kahun like ezpz, he himself literally neutralized all 3 of them oilers

Hoglander is legit, I can't believe a rookie fits in so well with horvats line. He's defensively better or at least equal to Eriksson except he actually provides offense and creates plays. When Hog was on the ice, they controlled 75% expected goals, and 60% of his 5on5 ice time against mcdavids line head to head in his rookie debut. Result? Pointless mcdavid on his bday. Hopefully they continue this tonight and not get blown out by pissed mcdavid. I wish gaudette or Canucks finds another bottom 6 center gem that can shut down other teams best lines so that horvat can be enabled like peteys line.

Green was so impressed with him lol this is what he wanted from goldobin

Myers had an excellent game imo.

Blocked shots on the powerplay and was noticeable in a good way.

Talk about depth, top 6 player in a taxi, ain't nobody got as deep depth as the Canucks.

He flew on private jet to join the Canucks practice in Calgary.

Just some things I've noticed over the first 3 games:

- Hughes needs to have the green light for sure but he's careless at times. He's still a kid, he'll learn, but he needs to settle down a bit. It's great to push the play but he's getting caught up ice way too much.

- Hoglander is fun to watch, haven't seen this kind of hustle since Hansen's ~1.5 seasons of fantastic play. Again, still a kid, needs to settle down a bit. His hands and feet are faster than his brain right now.

- Schmidt is a better player than Tanev overall but the PK misses Tanev for sure, the contrast vs Flames (their PK vs ours with Tanev switching sides) was glaring.

- EP needs to take charge more on the PP.

- Boeser's release and first step are a notch quicker this year, nice to see.

- Bottom 6 is a tire fire, yet again. Motte played 17 mins last night; we're not going to win many games when that happens. That's Willie D levels of coaching. I don't care how many minutes we had to PK; if it's a big PK night then he should be skipping 5-on-5 shifts.

Petey was awful today other than one good defensive play and that one 1T late that would have went in if it wasn't for a great shoulder save by Markstrom.

Special teams are complete dogshit.

4th line is a complete liability.

Top players need to show up and Green needs to get his head out of his ass.
