That would put them at 95 points, which seems to be the number needed to secure a playoff spot; maybe 93 would be enough to squeak in.

With the injuries they have combined with the way they are playing I think it is a stretch they can pick up that many points.

I am going to be cheering for Edmonton to win tonight. At this point finishing higher up in the Pacific is out of reach, we need other teams to take out our competitors so we have a chance at a wildcard spot.

If we somehow make the playoffs it will be up against a top tier team that will outclass us but at least there will some playoff experience had.

Sadly the best case scenario is to limp into the playoffs only to get destroyed in the first round....

Thing is they should know how the game works. I don't think CBJ had a powerplay all game until the Sutter penalty so they should know there is a short leash.

so far we're actually playing fine, first game I'm not pissed off in some way. but still can't buy a goal. petterson very hesitant, just won't one time or snap the puck anymore.

I don't think the other teams are giving him enough space for that, and when he does it hits the post or goalie makes the save =(
